　　針灸學(xué)是中國傳統(tǒng)醫(yī)學(xué)的重要組成部分，以天人合一的整體觀為基礎(chǔ)，以經(jīng)絡(luò)腧理論為指導(dǎo)，運(yùn)用針具與艾葉等主要工具和材料，通過刺入、薰灼等方法刺激身體特定部位，以調(diào)節(jié)人體平衡狀態(tài)而達(dá)到保健和治療的傳統(tǒng)知識(shí)與實(shí)踐。為了滿足針灸教學(xué)，促進(jìn)針灸學(xué)術(shù)交流，提高針灸臨床療效，擴(kuò)大針灸傳播，推動(dòng)針灸規(guī)范化、現(xiàn)代化、化，在美國、澳大利亞、加拿大等國家的針灸學(xué)者的建議下，中國中醫(yī)科學(xué)院程莘農(nóng)傳承工作室組成專家團(tuán)隊(duì)對《中國針灸學(xué)》進(jìn)行了修訂。1.對位的定位和命名，按照2008年世界衛(wèi)生組織西太平洋地區(qū)《針灸經(jīng)定位》標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，進(jìn)行了修訂和統(tǒng)一。2.關(guān)于腧的部位和主治，增加解剖學(xué)描述，腧的主治按照《中華人民共和國國家標(biāo)準(zhǔn)：腧主治（GB/T30233-2013）》進(jìn)行表述。3.對于針灸用具的選擇，增加了針灸針消毒技術(shù)章節(jié)和不同針具的介紹，包括2014年2月標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化組織正式出版的《ISO17218：2014一次性使用無菌針灸針》等
